This was one of those weeks that just felt like it FLEW by. We’re off again (third weekend away from home) to Minneapolis for my cousin’s wedding, so I was busy trying to get caught up from being gone last weekend and get us packed up to leave again. BUT I’m really looking forward to a big, fun wedding and seeing all my family! TGIF!
ebags Packing Cubes
Do you guys use packing cubes when you travel? I love the ebags brand and I used them for our Florida trip last weekend and they were a lifesaver! Baby stuff is so small and hard to pack but this made it so easy! One for diapers and one for clothes – everything stayed nice and neat and folded, just the way I like it!
A Mother Far From Home
I found the A Mother Far From Home blog recently and really liked this post about being a first time, type A mom and this post on the three pillars of Dutch parenting. I also signed up for her 15-day weary mom devotional email series and I’m liking it so far.
Have you guys heard of Ebates? I started using it a while ago after a friend told me about it. I wasn’t exactly sure what it was, and it sounded kind of weird to me, but I’m so glad I checked it out! It is definitely worth doing if you do most of your shopping online! I just bought a new pair of UGG boots for this winter – and saved over $20 just by activating the Ebates 13% off deal. I use the Google Chrome extension instead of finding the store on the Ebates website and it makes things SO easy – once you go to the website you want to shop, the extension will prompt a little window to pop up and you can activate your cash back percentage – that’s it! Then you get a check in the mail with your cash back every few months. I highly recommend using it for your holiday shopping! You can sign up here.
Coconut Cult copycat recipe
If you follow @shutthekaleup or @rachlmansfield on Instagram, you know they are obsessed with Coconut Cult probiotic coconut yogurt. I’ve really been wanting to try it, but don’t want to spend $87260 per jar. Lucky for me (and you) I found a copycat recipe on Pinterest! I haven’t made it yet, but plan on making it next week…I’ll let you know how it turns out! I haven’t had the original, so I won’t know if it really tastes like the real thing, soooooo someone else (other than the recipe author) make it too and let me know!
L.L. Bean Baby Bunting
I just got this L.L. Bean baby bunting as a gift (thanks Grandma!) and have used it on a few of our cold morning walks. It’s basically like a sleeping bag, and it has slits in the back so the car set or stroller straps can go through and secure your baby. It was so easy to get Max in and out of and I didn’t have to worry about booties, mittens, and finagling his arms and legs into a snowsuit. I highly recommend it if your baby isn’t going to be walking around and just needs to stay warm and cozy!
Enjoy your weekend, friends!
